Was it difficult in your times to be a scientist?

 

Answer:

You must remember that my father was quite a rich man. We owned a brewery where they made beer. I used to work at the family brewery, usually until quite late at night. Then, after work, I did my research into things that interested me. Other scientists at the time also had to support themselves.
