WELCOME >> ABOUT

This website, developed by the Museum of Science & Industry in Manchester, explores aspects of the work of James Joule. It is aimed at those looking to find out more about James Joule, especially 'A' level and higher education students, adult learners and school students at Key Stage 3 and 4 levels
.

It is a pilot for a much larger site which the Museum will launch with the forthcoming gallery on science in Manchester, due to open in October 2003. This larger site will look at science in the Manchester area, past and present, focussing on the people involved. It will feature the work of John Dee, John Dalton, James Joule and Ernest Rutherford, as well as looking at other locally important areas of scientific activity, putting them into a wider social and economic context.

Your comments will help Museum staff to make the final website interesting and easy to use. Please use the contact us button to let us know what you think.
